Prachur Khandelwal

Hello everyone, my name is Prachur, and I am running for the position of secretary.

MedED has played a pivotal role in my academic journey by offering support in years 1, 2 and 3 and also enabling me to give back in the same manner. My involvement as Phase 1B BRS lead has been extremely fulfilling, where I've spent 20+ hours in tutor recruitment, scheduling and troubleshooting on the day to ensure that second-years are equipped with the resources to succeed. As a lecturer, I have also delivered presentations on topics like gastroenterology and cardiology that have garnered positive feedback.

I am interested in progressing further within the society by taking on the role of secretary. Moreover, I understand the organisational and leadership skills required, which I have further cultivated from my experiences as Surgical Society General Executive and Indian Society President. In this position, I aim to provide support and ensure the smooth day-to-day running of MedEd and its activities. I plan to make this happen by:

• Assisting in organising tutorials and other events, which could involve scheduling course timetables, securing tutors, and promotion of tutorials.
• Managing official communications, including emails and group chats, on behalf of MedEd.
• Coordinating logistics for society meetings, such as booking rooms, as well as ensuring all necessary materials are prepared.
• Taking accurate and comprehensive minutes of all society meetings, including motions and decisions.
