Hello everyone, my name is Ling Liu, and you can also call me Linda. I'm here to run for President of DesSoc. The reason why you vote me:

More FREE events with diverse opportunities for all students
Stronger industry connections and better placement support
Expanding DesSoc’s recognition through connections in IDE and four new master’s programs
Continuing and improving Helping Sheet by adding master’s project guidance, professor feedback, elective reviews, and placement advice

I currently serve as Vice President of the Engineering Student Union (CGCU). I’ve organized events like the Welcome Dinner, cat & dog petting sessions, horse riding, and the boat party.

I‘m currently the OpenHouse Manager in DesSoc, leading our OpenHouse on March 20 &21, welcoming industry partners and offer holders. I’ve also helped organize events like Chinese New Year celebrations, Entrepreneur Night, Halloween Night, Women’s Health Hackathon, and the GERF,etc.

I was council representative for UG engineering students, attending monthly meetings to write papers, debate, and vote on key decisions.

Beyond that, I am an actress and Publicity Officer for Light Opera and Pilot Club. I love music— Grade 8 Piano certification from ABRSM and have perfect pitch. I also love painting, my artwork has been exhibited at Harvard. I devoted in Ballet and Latin for 10+ year and won the national gold medal.
