Aishat Azeez
Hi, I’m Aishat, a 2nd Year Medical Student! 😊
I’d love to be your Dr Me Project Officer, teaching young children about self-care and how to manage common illnesses at home is such a brilliant initiative, and I’d be so excited to be a part of it. During my time at Sixth Form, I was part of the Maths Outreach project, where I volunteered at a local primary school teaching Year 5 and 6 students Maths, to prepare them for their SATs. This experience gave me a lot of insight into how to communicate and engage with young students and break down concepts in a fun and relatable way. I’ve also helped plan events with Imperial’s Islamic Society, so I’m familiar with organising logistics and ensuring everything runs smoothly.
If elected, I’d focus on building strong connections with local primary schools and ensuring we’re well prepared for each visit. I’d make volunteer recruitment a priority, keeping everyone in the loop about logistics and offering support where needed. I’d also love to introduce fun and practical training sessions for our volunteers, helping them build confidence in delivering sessions to young students. I’d be present at every school visit, bringing lots of positive energy and making sure everything goes to plan!
I’m really looking forward to the chance to contribute to such an meaningful project and work with dedicated volunteers and schools.
