Muslim Medics: PotMed Intensive Lead

Muslim Medics supported me so much during my first year; it truly felt like a community that cared. From the kindness of the committee to the genuine sense of belonging, I’ve wanted to give back ever since. The values Muslim Medics stands for; compassion, service, and support deeply align with my own. Joining the society would give me an opportunity to work more on these values and be there for others while building and strengthening a sense of community and belonging.

One area I’m especially passionate about is PotMed. The medicine application process is no joke. It’s stressful, competitive, and can feel incredibly isolating, especially without the right support. Coming from a school with little guidance, I know first-hand how tough it is to navigate that journey alone. If I had known about PotMed back then, it would have been such a blessing. Now that Allah has placed me in a position to help others through that same journey, I want to give back by making PotMed even more accessible and impactful.

I’m organised, dedicated, and work well in a team. I want to bring new energy and ideas to the role while keeping our focus rooted in the purpose: to support aspiring medics, no matter their background and to be a source of strength, inspiration, and guidance at every step. For me joining Muslim Medics is about being present for one another in meaningful ways and I would be honoured to be a part of that mission.
