Matthew Byford

As a passionate Civil Engineering student, I am excited to stand for the role of Vice Chair in our departmental society. I believe in creating an inclusive and engaging environment where every student feels heard and represented. Through my previous involvement in group projects and academic support initiatives, I’ve developed strong organisational and communication skills that I aim to bring to this position. I want to strengthen the bridge between students and faculty, ensuring your feedback shapes our events and activities.

If elected, I will work to expand our society’s reach by by being a part of organising more career-focused events, guest lectures, and collaborative socials with other departments. My goal is to enhance both the academic and social experience for all Civil Engineering students. I am dedicated to representing your interests and creating a community where we can support each other, grow together, and make the most of our time at Imperial.
