In Phase 1c, I had the privilege of serving as your Wellbeing Representative. I carried this role with sincerity, dedication and care. As we step into Phase 3a, I feel that calling again - more deeply than ever.
After our BSc year, we return not only more academically mature, but with new pressures: long placements scattered across distant hospitals, the looming weight of finals, uncertainty about the future, and the emotional strain that comes with being so close to becoming doctors. We’re not the same students we were and our needs have evolved too.
My priority is to act as a compassionate and proactive bridge between us and the Faculty. I am committed to making existing wellbeing support systems more visible, accessible, and genuinely useful - whether you are navigating a difficult situation on the wards or feel overwhelmed by something personal. I will advocate for support in handling financial concerns and for safe spaces enabling open dialogue on emerging issues from strike disruption to job security and beyond.
Wellbeing is not a formality - it is the foundation that allows us to thrive, not just survive, through medical school and into our future careers. Let’s make this defining year the one where we show up and stand up for each, building a culture where none of us feels alone.
You trusted me before. Let me stand by you again - to listen deeply and speak up for what matters to each and everyone - so that no one is left behind.
