Kirsty Genfi
Hello, my name is Kirsty and I’m excited to be running for phase 3a wellbeing rep! As a fifth year myself I have come to appreciate how overwhelming this year can be, from adjusting to new placements to figuring out how the NHS bursary system works. I am eager to make this year a more enjoyable experience, and I believe that striving to be your phase 3a wellbeing rep is the best way to do that.
I have gained and utilised many relevant skills from various roles and experiences. For example, as a BSc Academic Representative I refined my effective communication skills, utilising them by liaising between staff and students to solve problems and provide them with the support they needed.
Furthermore, I regularly employ good time management and organisational skills by helping to organise and run events as a hall senior as well as organising and running medical school application tutorials with my previous sixth form to do my part in widening access and participation.
As your wellbeing rep, I hope to:
- Effectively convey any welfare concerns you have to staff at SSLGs and relay responses or actions taken
- Carry on advocating for the amazing work and action points that previous welfare teams have organised (including things like travel support for placements.)
- organise placement starter packs
I would consider it a privilege to have the opportunity to use my skills to support my fellow students with conscientious care. Thank you for considering me!
