Hey, I’m Ismail! If you don’t already know me, here’s the short version: I like alpacas, random physics, and the rest of my life (in that order).
I’m running for Academic Rep because I genuinely care about our course and helping to develop it to fit all areas of Computing.
Here’s what I want to focus on this year:
-
Clearer communication between students and staff. Whether it’s module feedback, unclear expectations, or confusing syllabuses, I’ll make sure your concerns are heard - and followed up on.
-
A healthier workload balance. I’ll push for more transparency and input in marking criteria, deadline spacing, and feedback quality - so we can focus on
alpacasacademics. -
More options. I will look to expand conversations on module options and courses, to address the lack of representation of
quantumsome niches in our course.
I try to be approachable and easy to talk to (and I don’t bite sometimes). If you see me around, feel free to chat about anything - whether it’s coursework stress, module confusion or suggestions - or alpacas. Please (please) feel free to talk about alpacas.
Let’s make Computing a course where everyone feels heard, supported, and a little bit more sane. And possibly lobby the department for more long necked herbivores.
Vote Ismail for Academic Rep 🦙
