Hello!

I'm Shivanshi and I am applying to be a student representative for MSc Computing :)

The best part of the course so far has been talking to all of you lovely people from all sorts of different academic and personal backgrounds. I'm excited to hear all your ideas and get them communicated across to the department, making sure everyone is included and everyone's ideas are heard is very important to me. I'll always be reachable either in person or by text/email to listen to your suggestions. You know I'm committed to DoC because it's a 3 hour commute for me to get here :P

I was head girl at school and took leadership positions in various projects at sixth form/university and (according to my teammates anyway!) that went quite well. Through presentations, tutoring, and working on a university clearing hotline I've developed my communication skills and that would be handy for this role.

As for my plans, I think it's very important for accessibility for lectures to be recorded reliably so I would try to tackle this in the rooms where there are most commonly issues.

I would also try and get postgraduate lockers in Huxley - since we're spending most of our time there every day it makes sense to have somewhere for storage (there are currently only UG ones).
