Hi everyone :) My name is Catalina, a fresh graduate from UCL Biomedical Engineering. Prior to entering Imperial, I have held a few leadership positions, including President of UCL's Bubble Tea Society and Treasurer of Sticker Youth Society (in collaboration with Indonesia's Cancer Association) during high school.
In both positions, I was responsible for communicating with our society partners about expectations, signing contracts, and notifying them of progress or if something unexpected happened. These experiences make me confident in representing our cohort — in three simple aspects, I:
- Communicate clearly with different stakeholders (or in this case, you and the professors!),
- Stay organised even when juggling multiple voices and opinions, and
- Genuinely enjoy building a sense of community where everyone feels heard and valued.
If you've made it till the end — yes, contrary to belief, Bubble Tea Society does exist! We actually reached out to bubble tea brands and offered collaborations so they could provide discounts or special benefits to our members :)
I’m really looking forward to working together to make this year an exciting and supportive one for all of us — and fun fact, my initials are the same as the first three letters of my name, so you’ll never forget me: Cat! 🐾
