Hi, I'm Aoife!

I'm from the outskirts of the outskirts of a village in the Northern Irish countryside and I'm in my 2nd year of Biochemistry at Imperial! I really enjoyed the Ceilidhs last year (especially being able to blame my bad dancing on the alcohol instead of my lack of skills)! As someone who loves folk music, I miss being able to walk into an Irish pub and hear it live from a group of people being paid in pints. I especially admire the musicians that play in these live bands - one of my dreams is to be able to play an instrument and I am instantly envious of anyone who can. I love that Ceilidhs are a way to meet other people who are Irish or Scottish, interested in Irish and Scottish culture, or who just love yapping and dancing!

I am running for Ceilidh Society Publicity Officer and if you vote for me I will make our instagram (ic_ceilidh) the envy of all the other societies with posters worthy of being put in museums! Graphic design is my passion.

I would love to be a part of the committee and be more involved in Ceilidh Society this year!
