Ben Loke
Hello! I am Ben. Some areas of research I am interested in include the use of self-replicating RNA to treat viruses and on the Dengue virus. My interest in infectious diseases research started when I underwent an internship organised by my school to on the use of bacteriophages as an alternative to treat mycobacteria. What made me stand for this role was the desire to bring to light the challenges in research in infectious diseases and the need for more attention into this field. I hope to be able to collaborate with various researchers in sharing the work they have done to the society and to create more opportunities for students to learn about current developments in the field through seminars and other events. If elected, I aim to bridge the gap between researchers and students, encouraging curiosity and active participation in infectious disease research.
