I pushed for this role to be made as ISS Publicity Officer 25/26 due to the lack of interconnectedness in the Sangat within the medical community. My goal is to connect the Sikh Medical Students here at Imperial. This will introduce networking opportunities, academic and clinical advice/mentorship and strength in our togetherness.

As Publicity Officer, I have:

Revamped the instagram page Created 50+ posts/reels (averaging >1 a week, not to mention frequent stories) Taken charge in organising 10+ events Started creating a new Imperial College Healthcare-wide uniform policy to better accommodate for our Sangat Introduced Punjabi classes for beginners: https://www.imperial.ac.uk/evening-classes/winter-courses-list/punjabi/

Things I wish I could have achieved were creating a TikTok and LinkedIn account (hopefully next year's officer's can work on this!).

As a member of other committees within ICSM, I have aided the organisation of one of the largest student-led conferences nationwide (International Orthopaedics Conference). I have also attended many talks, career days, etc.

Hence, without giving too much away, I hope to:

Introduce Sikh Medic parents (linking to CPA/OSCE mentorship) Introduce Seva opportunities that are medically inclined, e.g. BLS training to local communities Run talks for medical students by practising Sikh doctors (from FY1 -> Consultant level) Run events for medical students such as suturing sessions (stay tuned - these will be unique) Introduce a Sikhs In Medicine (sub)society (big plans ahead)
