Playing for the men’s 1st team for the last 4 years I have gained plenty of experience and would be a great fit to lead the team in the next season, learning from past captains and playing with the Imperial Alumni team and captaining them for a year winning our first trophy.
To achieve our goals, I plan to implement the tactics and strategies that have proven effective in the past such as the importance of ball possession to keep our Imperial game strong and controlled. As when we play our way, we are unbeatable, to also instil this confidence in all players to ensure that games do not get chaotic. I also aim to incorporate specified drills in areas that need improvement and game analysis to improve every aspect of our game.
Additionally, I recognize the importance of promoting strong team chemistry and aim to restart first team socials with activities such as go-karting and golf, along with fostering individual skill and confidence in each player by targeted feedback to celebrate each other’s strengths and support weaknesses to have a team full of top players.
Additionally, my skills in teaching have been shown through how I’ve interacted with freshers and have taught tips and skills to many of our club’s players.
