Prachur Khandelwal
Hello, my name is Prachur, and even before entering medical school, I have been very interested in surgery. Through my role on the subcommittee this year, I have gained deeper insights into the society’s operations, including the importance of publicity and marketing for an event’s success. Thus, I am very keen to be your Marketing Officer this year! My plan to further build on the marketing this year involves:
- Creative content development: Having been the creative head of IndiaSoc for this past year, I have developed extensive skills in content creation, ranging from Instagram posts to video and audio editing.
- Engagement: One of the most effective ways to further build on a society’s online presence is by having regular posts and stories that include polls, questions, etcetera, which engage with the viewers.
- Adaptability: Having helped with marketing for conferences hosting 250+ people, I realised that as a marketer, one needs to rapidly adjust strategies according to changing circumstances. I believe that from my aforementioned experiences, I have developed the required time management and organisational skills.
The creative design, communication and adaptability skills I have developed through my various roles, such as creative head, Imperial’s BMA representative and subcommittee member, would be beneficial to attract a greater number of members and delegates at events. Therefore, I seek your support as I aspire to serve as a marketing officer of the surgical society. If elected, I pledge to help further the society’s mission through extensive and engaging marketing.
