To my manifesto readers:
Hello! I am Jim Ji, a first-year Biomedical Technology Ventures undergraduate. I am running for the Academic and Technical Events Coordinator position in the Bioengineering Society because of my lifelong enthusiasm for Bioengineering and my past experiences in student unions.
I earned various leadership experiences in high school student unions. I worked as the head of the Coordination Department and Vice President to hold insight academic and technology events such as Brain Bee competition training, UCAS and Common App fairs for university preparation, and agricultural technological field trips. These events familiarise me with steps to teach academic competitions, procedures of application to educational institutions, and the organisation of technical events.
As a future Academic and Technical Events Coordinator of the society, I aim to introduce frontier Biotechnologies, internship and research opportunities, and applications for advanced degrees(PhD). I will invite Ph.D. students and Admission Officers from UK universities to hold symposiums for Bioengineering PhD and scholarship applications. Additionally, I will contact HR from MedTech companies and Bioengineering Research Scientists to find internship and research opportunities for society members. Finally, I aim to continue arranging Bioengineering workshops to familiarise members with the operations of the most up-to-date biotechnologies.
My clear plans for future society activities and past working experiences make me a good fit for the Academic and Technical Events Coordinator position. Voting for me will be a choice that you will never regret! I really appreciate your support!
Sincerely,
Jim
