Manifesto for the Head of Diversity & Inclusivity:

I am Xitian, a student studying Mathematics with Statistics who is also passionate about investment. With a passion for giving back to our society, an opinion on the potential improvements for the current society, as well as a particular interest in creating equal opportunities for everyone, I was motivated to run for this role.

If I were given this precious opportunity, guided by this manifesto, I commit to championing the following principles:

1. Embrace Diversity: I recognise the inherent value of diversity in all its forms. I commit to leading by example and fostering an environment where every member feels welcomed, respected, and valued for their unique perspectives. In the annual Clubs and Society Fair, I would make a deliberate effort to encourage students from different groups to join the Investment Society.
2. Promote Equity: I strive to promote equity by identifying and addressing barriers to advancement within finance. I would actively identify diversity-related internship programs and promote them within the society. I would also deliver inclusivity-related events, such as panel sessions with Imperial alumni from diverse backgrounds.
3. Cultivate Inclusion: I will actively cultivate a culture of inclusion where all voices are heard, ideas are welcomed, and differences are celebrated. I will create spaces for dialogue, collaboration, and mutual understanding.
