Zoe Fang
I am thrilled to announce my candidacy for the position of Liaison for WSET. With a robust background in data science, extensive experience in marketing and communication, and a passion for promoting gender diversity in STEM fields, I am confident in my ability to effectively bridge the gap between our society and external stakeholders. My previous roles have equipped me with the skills necessary to foster strong relationships and advocate for our members.
As Communications Officer for ChemEng Soc, I successfully managed outreach efforts, significantly increasing engagement and visibility. My participation in spring weeks at Scotiabank and KPMG has provided me with valuable networking experience and insights into professional environments. Serving as Vice President for the Finance Society and working closely with our current president has given me a deep understanding of strategic planning and leadership.
If elected as Liaison, I will:
- Build and maintain connections with industry partners, alumni, and other organisations to provide valuable opportunities for our members.
- Advocate for increased representation of women in SET through partnerships, events, and initiatives.
- Collaborate with other organisations to promote gender diversity and inclusivity in STEM fields.
- Facilitate connections between members and industry professionals through networking events, workshops, and mentorship programs.
- Create platforms for members to share their experiences, challenges, and successes.
- Organise events that promote professional development and community engagement.
Vote for Zoe for Liaison of Women in SET!
