As co-chairs for Emergencies in Plastics, Khushi & I will introduce:

• Diverse lectures & new workshops to reduce overlap between conferences.
  • Possible integration with Orthopaedics/Oral Maxillofacial/ENT to attract wider audience.
• Compile library of introductory videos + resources accessible to all attendees, covering lectures, workshop demonstrations & essential skills.
• Practical (dry + wet) workshops & a station discussing patient case studies, allowing students to gain an insight into real-life trauma scenarios, made interactive by asking questions that require situational judgement & scientific knowledge.
• Increase female speakers to inspire more women to enter plastics & invite experts with firsthand war zone experience, such as in Gaza.
  • Panel discussion with speakers + Q&A for audience participation.
• Mentorship programme - opportunity to gain deeper insight into the field of Plastics.
• Like other conferences, host a poster competition - gives opportunity to present research within Trauma/Orthopaedics/Oral Maxillofacial.
• Consider 2 day event - accommodates a greater range of workshops + lectures.

To address past challenges like speaker recruitment, I'll leverage contacts established from national conferences & clinical placements at ChelWest. I also hope to build rapport with new contacts in a project I'm undertaking at Charing Cross & observing procedures with my previous contacts at ChelWest. As Indian Society's fashion committee head, I successfully secured sponsors & liaised with them in a concise manner, making me confident in my ability to advocate speakers.

My experiences in Plastics together with the above innovative approaches facilitate me with the ability to bring a multifaceted & novel outlook to next years’ conference.
