Hi, I’m Harshil Patel - your next academic rep!!

This past year at ICSM, we’ve all noticed a disconnect between students and faculty around many academic topics - be it confusing lecture / tutorial slides, accessing reading materials / additional resources, or even the insufficiency in explanation for exam feedback and research opportunities outside of medicine. The communication around such topics has not been adequate, even inequitable in some cases. This can be frustrating and is why we need someone to represent us and voice our concerns and academic interests - a confident and articulate voice for discussing with faculty to clear up any misinformation and ensure that we get the most out of every second at Imperial!

Let me do this for you.

I intend use my previous experience liaising with senior staff to make changes by establishing a robust, anonymous feedback system to ensure student voices are heard and addressed promptly by the administration! I’m sure that you have more concerns and I promise to provide unwavering support to ensure that these issues are resolved in a definitive and satisfactory manner during SSLG meetings (and beyond).

I will ensure that fellow medics are always kept in a loop about my work to help achieve positive changes!
