Harvan Bahia

Hi everyone! My name's Harvan and I would love to be your academic representative this year! I have enjoyed teaching and helping other students out for a long time, whether thats been through tutoring or giving to the notebank for younger years and this year I want to take this a step up.

My main goal for this year is to make phase 1c as easy as possible for as many people as possible. To do this I need to bridge the gap between students and faculty to bring across many of your own ideas before them, but additionally thinking outside the box myself to bring some new and innovative solutions to all your problems within phase 1c. This can range from refining everyone's placement experience to updating the content of teaching we get from Imperial and help we get with exams.

My experience being the creative head and head of media for South Asian society has allowed me to develop my skills in communicating between students and the committee, which will help me build a strong link between us students and faculty. I've gotten used to developing/implementing new ideas to improve the society too and hope to bring the same mindset to this role. Being able to work with anyone is a key stepping stone to making progress, therefore I will make every effort to get to know your other reps so that we can all together bring about some amazing changes for you guys!
