Council Representative (UG Medicine)

As a 4th-year medical student, I understand the unique challenges we face in balancing demanding clinical placements, academic commitments, and personal wellbeing. Having served as President of the Hindu Society (2023-2024) and currently acting as an Academic Representative for my BSc, I have developed the leadership, communication, and advocacy skills necessary to represent you effectively at Union Council.

If elected, I will:

  • Prioritise Wellbeing Support: Medical students often experience significant stress, and I will advocate for expanded mental health and wellbeing services that are tailored to the unique pressures of our studies.
  • Champion Academic Fairness and Transparency: I will push for clear communication around placements, assessments, and feedback, ensuring all students feel supported in navigating their academic journey.
  • Represent Your Concerns Effectively: I will actively engage with medical students to understand your concerns, from tuition fees and bursary support to placement logistics. I will ensure that your views are reflected in Union decisions and policies that impact us all.

My experience leading a large student society and serving as an academic representative has given me the skills to communicate with diverse groups of students and work collaboratively to create positive change. I am committed to making sure that our voices as medical students are heard and that we receive the support we need to succeed.

Vote for me, and together we can shape a better future for medical students at Imperial!
