Ruhana Mahmud

Hello everyone! I am Ruhana, a third-year medical student running for the Council Representative for Undergraduate Medicine!

It is no secret that medicine is the longest undergraduate course at Imperial and is unlike any other course in terms of its structure, academic and professional expectations, and financial burden. As your rep, I will aim to ensure that every medical student is able to make the most of their time at ICSM. I will achieve this by liaising with individual year reps and staff to make sure your voices are heard and acted upon.

This year, I hope to achieve the following:

• Increasing transparency about the assessment processes
• Spearhead a feedback system for placements
• Push for the existing campaign to reimburse placement travel
• Negotiating for departmental funding opportunities for UROP

I am always open to ideas+feedback. It would be an honor and a privilege to represent ICSM.
