Medicine (UG): Biomedical Science - Year Two Wellbeing Representative

I'm not going to sugarcoat it - BMB is tough. As someone who can definitely empathise with the stress that comes with staying on top of e-modules, exams, ICA deadlines etc., I understand how important it is for our voices to be heard. I passionately believe that before anything else, your wellbeing is most important - after all, how else can you enjoy university life? This is why I am keen to become your wellbeing representative this year!

As your representative, I aim to:

  • take on board regular feedback and pass on our cohort's comments regarding wellbeing to the BMB leads;
  • emphasise the importance of our wellbeing to the BMB leads to improve student satisfaction;
  • collaborate with fellow representatives and BMB leads and bring about any positive changes to improve our wellbeing, including finding solutions to any problems that may arise;
  • be someone who can help resolve any personal problems you may have, including signposting you to different departments that can help with your concerns.

As someone who is very friendly and approachable, and can definitely relate to the struggles of BMB, I hope to be a source of support for you all - someone who is there to reassure you when the course gets challenging at times. Vote for me, and I'm sure that we can make BMB a safe space for all of us. With this, I'm certain we will enjoy the next year together and maintain a sense of pride in being students at Imperial College! :)
