Hi my name is Aron Abraham

As a current committee member of the Infectious Diseases Society and having assisted with an audit in the Cardiology Department, I have developed a strong foundation in event coordination and research-based projects. My role in these capacities has involved liaising with senior clinicians, drafting communications, and managing the logistical details of meetings and events. Working within the Cardiology Department has allowed me to form key connections with professionals, positioning me to bring high-quality speakers to our society events.

As Head of Events, my primary aims are:

• Strengthen Research Opportunities: I will develop a streamlined guide for getting involved in cardiovascular research, with step-by-step mentorship on paper publication, research presentations, and conference participation.
• Expand Cardiovascular Specialties Coverage: We will introduce more events that explore underrepresented areas within cardiology, such as congenital heart diseases, preventive cardiology, and sports cardiology, giving our members a holistic view of the speciality.
• Build Cross-Society Collaborations: We will strengthen our collaborations with other societies, creating interdisciplinary events that connect cardiology with other medical fields and health sciences.
