Biological Sciences at Imperial College London is going to be a difficult course. It will be filled with a lot of late nights, library study sessions, and some unavoidable stress. For better or for worse, this is what we signed up for.
What we did not sign up for is the stress and extra work that comes from having to deal with incomplete lecture slides, confusing organisation/time-tabeling, difficult to find rescources, and other similar issues. However, it doesn’t need to be this way.
When issues and feedback are delivered clearly to staff we reduce the some of the unnecesary headaches that can plague us students.
As your academic representative I aim to act as a courier carrying your wonderfull ideas, suggestions and complaints to the Biological Sciences faculty. I will be the bridge that connects our faculty and student body, keeping our Imperial induced stress to a minimum.
Studying is traditionally a solo journey, but it doesn’t need to be. When you speak out about an issue, which is then communicated to the facculty and sorted out, the entire year benefits. Our cohort can work together to communicate the difficulties we face, getting them solved once and for all. As your academic representative I will be a cog in the machine of our year group to make sure communication between staff and students is smooth and constructive.
A vote for Edward Shine keeps the Biology Department Shining!
