Feiyang Shang
Hi, I’m Feiyang, a MSc Computing (AIML) student. As Martin Fowler says, “Good programmers write code that humans can understand.” Similarly, good academic representatives make sure that students’ voices are clearly understood by the department! I believe that an effective representation is about clear and concise communication that actually helps people in our cohort. Not everything is perfect — including our degree programmes and course structures. I’m dedicated to ensuring that assessments and workloads of our courses are fair, and actively advocating for learning resources and any other academic support that truly meet our needs.
I value collaboration and continuous improvement, and I’ll bring that same mindset to representing you. Feel free to reach out to me about any academic concerns you may have — whether it’s about coursework, assessments, or research struggles. Let’s make our Computing PG experience supportive, responsive, and filled with the kind of reassurance that helps us all enjoy this wonderful year together.
