Jack Fletcher

Hi, I'm Jack, a 3rd year JMC student. I'm running for UG Engineering Council Rep as I believe that every student deserves to be heard, and every issue deserves to be voiced. I am currently enjoying my role as JMC Wellbeing Departmental Rep, and I wish to represent more students. I will use my departmental rep role as an advantage to communicate with other departmental reps through forums, and talks whenever an issue rises.

I have heard plenty of complaints across different departments. One big complaint was if an error was found in the marking and flagged, the time between it being flagged and being resolved was way too long and often it was considered "too late" to resolve.

In order to solve these problems, I intend to keep close contact with the other departmental reps as mentioned above, and then issues can be raised by individuals through year reps, who will be familiar faces. I plan to close department-level loops and solutions taking too long to solve, pushing for faster response times so engineering students don't have to go through this anymore.
