Simi Joshi

Hi, my name is Simi and I would like the opportunity to become Academic Representative this year, so that I can voice the concerns of everyone on the course to make this year more enjoyable. Firstly, I believe that I would make a good representative as I have strong listening and communication skills, alongside being organised and approachable, meaning that I am a friendly face for people to come and talk to, whilst also being someone who is able to effectively convey my peers’ thoughts. Additionally, I am both present and attentive in lectures, ensuring that I would be an available figure for people to share their concerns with, whilst also being able to notice confusion from others who may not express their hesitations- this would make me an Academic Representative for both the introverts and extroverts. Furthermore, I am committed to dedicating time to understand the academic concerns from anyone on the course and helping to be part of the solution.
