Ajith Kurian

Hi Everyone,

I’m Ajith, and I am thrilled to run for the position of Treasurer at Investment Soc. Investment Society has been vital in helping me develop my understanding of the finance sector through events such as QT Capital, SEC Lectures, and networking sessions. I want to give back to the society and continue its success, which is why I am running for Treasurer.

From my role as Industry Vice President at EESoc, I have gained valuable experience in managing the workings of a large society. Some of my accomplishments include securing over £6,000 in sponsorship and organising a careers fair with over 500 participants. Additionally, I have worked closely with the Union to manage sponsorship financing.
I have also worked for a start-up, where I ensured that all sales invoices and receipts were correctly reconciled in the accounts. This experience will be invaluable for the Treasurer role.

As Treasurer, I aim to work closely with the Sell-Side and Buy-Side Corporate Relations teams to maximize sponsorship and seamlessly onboard new firms. Moreover, I plan to ensure that the society operates sustainably with proper financial planning while maximizing spending on events.
