Yuriko Masui

Hi everyone

My name is Yuriko and I am a first year civil engineering undergraduate running for the role of treasurer. Throughout my time here, I've thoroughly enjoyed networking events and educational talks organised by the investment society. I am passionate about creating more opportunities to allow members to explore interest in this field further. Here are 3 reasons I believe I will be a perfect fit for this role.

1. Financing skills
   As a founder of a charity walk organisation, We Care Fukushima, I am experienced in managing money and putting them to good use. I initiated and organised to raise over £4000 in the past 7 years, ensuring it was donated to the right foundation by visiting offices and personally participating in the recovery works after the nuclear power plant explosion in Fukushima.
2. Teamwork and leadership
   With experience as a prefect, I possess great leadership skills. I am not afraid to speak up, voice opinions and negotiate for the smooth running of the society. I will ensure to bring in new initiatives by working closely with the rest of the committee.
3. Positivity
   Lastly, I have always been full of enthusiasm and energy. Whether it be during a meeting, an event or just passing by, I promise to always bring positivity to better everyone's experiences at Imperial.

If elected, I promise to showcase these qualities and ensure that the society will be financially on track.
