Jeehwan Ahn
Hey everyone,
We are Dean and Jeehwan, third-year medics running for Microsurgery Co-Chairs for the upcoming year. With our combined experience on the Plastics, SurgSoc, SORA, and various other roles, we believe we are well-equipped to take on this responsibility.
Over the past year, Dean has served on the SurgSoc executive committee as webmaster, developing the trauma website and supporting event execution. On the Plastics subcommittee, he gained significant experience in event management. As a research officer for SORA, Dean organised events and research opportunities. These roles have honed his skills in collaboration, management, and effective communication.
I (JeeHwan) have similarly garnered valuable experience through active participation in the Plastics subcommittee, sending monthly newsletters and filling in the role of secretary this year, overall bringing a strong background in teamwork, event coordination, and member engagement. Together, our diverse skill sets and shared dedication to the field of surgery position us as ideal candidates for Microsurgery Co-Chairs, as well as already having first hand experience in running these conferences smoothly from previous involvement.
Looking forward to the upcoming year, we are excited about the prospect of contributing towards Plastics. Building upon our previous experiences, we aim to introduce innovative initiatives and foster a supportive and inclusive environment for all members. We are committed to advancing the society’s goals and providing enriching opportunities for our peers.
With our dedication and passion for both society and plastic surgery as a career, we eagerly anticipate the opportunity to serve as Microsurgery Co-Chairs.
Thanks
Dean and Jeehwan
